Beginning October 2024, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services launch a redesign of the Employment and Training program for SNAP recipients. The goal of the redesign was to limit the administrative burden of the program and put staff energy and focus into meeting unemployed individuals where they are in their present to assist in creating and achieving employment/career goals.

By choosing to volunteer in the Employment and Training program, you will be assessed to determine your work skills, work experience, education, strengths, goals, and barriers. Once goals are established, our staff are committed to assisting you progress in your journey. There are opportunities to support volunteers with expenses such as: training costs, transportation assistance, or appropriate referrals to partner agencies.

If you are unemployed or employed less than 20 hours per week and would like to pursue your suitability for this program, please complete and submit the volunteer form.
